Ilulissat 1: Looking from the hotel across the seaward side of Ilulissat to the icebergs beyond. This picture was taken about 2:30pm on Sunday 7th, compared to the picture which follows that was taken on the following Tuesday morning. The large iceberg beyond the point is about 120 metres high and about 1 kilometre long - and probably 90% lies under the water. In the foreground the moss on the rocks is dying off at the end of summer.
